I've never felt so flat after finishing a book as I did with this one. I LOVE Nicki Sosebee and her ongoing investigations were just what I was looking for in this next instalment but the reason for the escalation in her investigations was not!
This was a very emotional book which, to be frank, made me want to stop reading it after the first few pages but I saw it through to its conclusion and whilst I found some pleasure in the story, one big part nearly broke me SPOILER [ I may be alone but killing off one of the main characters without any hint of a faked death or such like has left me wondering how this series can continue.. END SPOILER And, to top things off, it ended on a cliff-hanger.
Sadly, this instalment was very brief and didn't satisfy my NS addiction.
