Dead Bodies Everywhere Dead Bodies Everywhere by Jade C. Jamison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We’re back in Winchester but for once, life for Nicki isn’t a bed of roses!

I love this series with a passion and could re-read each instalment again and again. Nicki Sosebee is a larger than life character and her free loving attitude towards men may at times have been extreme but her love for Sean anchors her in her times of need, and boy does she have her fair share of them! Despite being on book #11, I find myself still wanting more from this amazing series and with so many questions still left unanswered, I hope that readers don't have to wait long to get to the bottom of them.

SPOILER Still separated from Sean *insert sobbing here*, and recovering from her brief time dating Hunter, Nicki is still crashing with her friend Brandy and her once fun-filled life now seems in tatters as she finds herself clinging on to the things that one meant the most to her. Lost in her own life story, Nicki feels isolated and alone, especially without her Sean and her Napoli family by her side.

Whilst still working for the Tribune, and late evenings at a local pharmacy, Nicki continues to juggle her investigations alongside earning a living and in doing so, uncovers yet more sordid revelations from the underbelly of society but this time multiple dead bodies are involved.

Having struggled to uncover any links to the meth business, and previous prostitution ring, and to link them to Cecil Montgomery, Nicki continues to uncover yet more evidence which shows that corruption in the town she loves is rife. From police corruption *is he or isn’t he - Det. Nathan Wright???* and with half of the town owned by Cecil Montgomery, it starts to look like Nicki’s digging is beginning to pay off but is what she is uncovering the reasons behind why the bodies are stacking up? Now assigned to reporting the crime news for the paper, Nicki has a front row seat as the identities of the bodies are revealed and a sinister message is unveiled.

Nicki continues to work with investigative blogger, Janice Beaker, and together they try to piece together the evidence they uncover but as suspected, each turn they make seems to lead to Cecil Montgomery. Sean continues to assist Nicki but even he starts to feel the pressure of what they are uncovering and the once intrepid duo are together becoming overly prominent in the eyes of the wrong people.

With every instalment, my heart breaks a little more for Jesse. Head over heels in love with Nicki, he tries to find a girl to help him to move on from his feelings for her but when it looks like he’s finally found someone to care for him, he once again finds himself spurned.

So, will Nicki tie any of these crimes to Cecil Montgomery? Will she ever find out who Blackie is? Will she end up with Sean or Jesse? Has Nicki endangered herself and Sean by continuing with her investigations? And, WTH ever happened to Carlos? I guess only time will tell! END SPOILER
