Follow Me (Corrupted Hearts, #1)Follow Me by Tiffany Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story, despite being slightly challenged by all the sci-fi nerd talk at times. The story was refreshingly different and with two male leads both vying for the attention of China Mack, I was kept intrigued right until the very end of the book.

China Mack was a fascinating character. A 23 old with a brilliant mind working in computer programming, she is sought-after for her skills and also her looks and quirky ways. Despite having OCD, and her religious routines, she intrigues those around her and especially her boss, Jackson Cooper. When Jackson employs her services on a special project, working closely with him, China is awestruck but jumps at the chance of spending time working alongside him. The only problem is that he leads her down a dangerous path which puts her life in danger and her skills to the test.

This was a real "who do you trust" storyline. With her new neighbour interested in her but having appeared out of the blue, China is suspicious as to why she attracts his attention, and add into the mix the sudden interest Jackson has in her, who exactly can she trust?

Although this book is part of a series, you could read it as a standalone but there is also a separate development calling you to read the next instalment.

Audible re-read, I love China Mack and she's even more brilliant on audio!

We’re back with China Mack and her quirky but brilliant mind!

Now working for the government, China wrongly assumed that all of her problems are behind her. Whilst she is still under the protection of Clark, and dating Jackson, she is torn between her loyalties towards these two men. Clark knows about the project she is working on but she can’t tell Jackson about it. Now with danger looming and the Vigilance software once again under threat, China must decide if she can let Jackson into her work life in order to keep her safe.

China is unlike any other female protagonist that you will read about. A girl after my own heart, she doesn’t think twice about wearing couture and converse, at the same time. Being paraded on the arms of two men has its challenges, though, especially when her cover is blown whilst alongside Clark. Jackson is facing his own demons though as the government tries to discredit him and his business and there’s only one person he can turn to save the day. The only problem is that she comes with an attachment aka Clark!

With drama around every corner, this amazing threesome must act fast and trust no-one in order to keep Vigilance secure and to free Jackson. Whilst China is brave and strong, she is also as fragile as her name and if you damage her she will break.

I've found this series fascinating. Whilst still struggling with the sci-fi nerd speak, I have come to find it more endearing than challenging. Tiffany Snow keeps you on the edge of your seats both with the drama and emotion and you are continually questioning whether Clark will ever win over China’s feelings or is her heart solely in the hands of Jackson? This is another story with a #TeamJackson / #TeamClark theme running through it but whilst I have come to love both men, and would happily choose both, the question is will China remain faithful to Jackson or will the emotional tribulations that she faces with Clark draw her closer to him.

With another fight seemingly won, it appears that hackers are not who you ever expect them to be and this story ends with what looks like another intriguing story around the corner.

If you are curious about hacking, programming, secrets and spies then this book is a must read!

No-one writes love triangles like Tiffany Snow!!!

This series is going from strength to strength. I love China Mack like crazy. I don’t know if it’s her nerdiness, her brilliance or her OCD/germaphobe quirkiness but she’s one of the best female alphas around.

This instalment starts with China and Jackson taking their relationship to the next level which for China means pushing herself far outside of her comfort zone. New to the concept of having a boyfriend, she struggles with her emotions but she is clearly enjoying what Jackson has to offer. The only problem for China is Clark and her feelings towards him. Firmly friend-zoned by China, or so she thinks, Clark returns with his good looks, sweet and charming way and in more danger than China can imagine.

With the President shot, all eyes are on China and whether she can clear Clark from the investigation. As expected, with every turn there is more and more mystery and it becomes apparent that China is not such an innocent bystander in the world of espionage.

As expected, where China goes so does Jackson and with Jackson and Clark both taking pot-shots at one another, life for China gets even more complicated. She loves Jackson but she eventually starts to question her feelings towards Clark.

I’ve got to say, I’m 100% #TeamClark (I think). He stole my heart at the beginning of this series and has never let it go but Jackson has come close to stealing it back a time or two in this instalment. Lucky China to have two gorgeous men fighting over her but who would you choose?

I absolutely adore this series and simply can’t get enough of China Mack.

A techno geek, China has a brilliant mind and a beautiful body and it is that combination makes the men in her life fight for her love and affection. Books with a strong female lead are particularly captivating for me especially when the female is brilliant, beautiful, quirky and loved by all. Overall, this series has been like a breath of fresh air. It gave me everything that I wanted and more. The writing was strong and the storyline particularly fascinating and insightful. The blend of China’s strange OCD ways offset against her brilliant IT mind and the love triangle involving the men who will do anything to protect her was charming and delightful.

Having previously broken up with Jackson, China and Clark are finally together but despite their happiness, China still misses Jackson. Their relationship is explosive and everything you hoped it would be except China is still struggling to move on from Jackson. Despite their acrimonious break-up, Jackson can’t turn his back on China and instead teams up with Clark to help her unlock the secrets from her past.

I really enjoyed China’s connection with Clark but was dismayed with this treatment of her despite knowing her quirks and foibles. After a sexual encounter in a shop, I was heartbroken by the way Clark treated China instead of understanding how her mind works and her insecurities. What started off as tender and really romantic ended with a cruelness which left me reeling and really feeling for China. [This was such a well-written scene and drew out so many emotions from me.]

Jackson knows that he could never turn his back on China despite how painful it is for him to be close to her. Seeing China with Clark is painful but not as painful as not having her part of his life. Jackson’s patience is rewarded however when cracks start to appear in China’s and Clark’s relationship.

Despite loving both of these men, China knows that she must choose one or choose neither. Determined to find her father and to seek retribution for the death of her mother, China heads off alone and into unknown danger but as expected Clark and Jackson are never far behind. With time and space from the men she loves, China has time to think and some hard decisions to make, but which man will her heart once and for all? [Squeee!!!!]
