My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well, that story well and truly ripped my heart out, stamped on it and then, just for good measure, gave it a huge kick!

I always find myself reading these books with trepidation. As much as I love them and want to keep reading them non-stop, I just know there will be a bone crushing sadness somewhere along the way, and this book was no different.

From the joyous feeling of a new love, to the complications it brings when grown inside of a Mafia family, we hope that there will be a smooth path towards a HEA, but no, RVD just had to turn our world upside down, again!

Yes, I loved this story beyond words, but I did not enjoy the pain! I cried, and I don't like crying when reading - AT ALL! Despite my unwanted tears, I will remember this story as fondly as all of the others and will chalk it down to another painful reminder of what RVD can do to readers when she writes Eagle Elite stories.

If you haven't yet started this series then you absolutely must, but be warned, it's both rewarding and painfully emotional, in equal measures.
