Finally, it's Gabe time and he didn't disappoint. I don't know if it's because I listened to the book via Aubible but Gabe seemed to be a completely different character in this book. Gone is the funny, loveable rogue and in comes a version who is deeply troubled, angry, hurtful, dismissive and most of all cruel, especially to Saylor, the poor girl who turned to listen to his music only to find herself the target of his full on emotions.

Never fear though, as the story progresses you develop a new love for Gabe and when you realise what he's endured through his life you can't help but cry, for him, for Kimmy/Princess and for the life they loved and lost.

I do find these stories very wordy and they tend to be a little repetitive with scenes recounted again and again but each time with more heartbreak. That said, I really enjoyed the story and as I neared the end I was really crying and gasping at the beauty of the story.
