S.E.C.R.E.T. (Secret, #1)S.E.C.R.E.T. by L. Marie Adeline
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Having read S.E.C.R.E.T. Shared (Secret #2) first, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Cassie’s story and follow her through her own “steps”.

Having found herself working in a café after her world falls apart, Cassie life is put on hold for 5 years while she comes to terms with the loss of her husband.

After finding a notebook left behind in the café by Pauline Davis, Cassie hesitantly dips into it only to be shocked by what she finds: records of her sexual encounters or “steps”. Closing the book quickly, she waits for Pauline to return to retrieve her errant booklet.

When Pauline returns she is Matilda who Cassie later finds out is part of S.E.C.R.E.T. a society created to liberate women’s sexuality by granting them their sexual fantasies. Cassie is hesitant by Matilda’s offer of assistance but eventually contacts her and soon her own “steps” begin.

Each of Cassie’s “steps” are with extremely sexy men in extremely hot situations but again I enjoyed Jesse, the tattooed pastry chef, the most and was glad his story continues with Cassie in book 2.

The culmination of Cassie’s steps sees her biggest adventure but will this mean a HEA for Cassie, you’ll have to read the book to find out!
